Halloween

This year I decided to make Nathans halloween costume. He really wanted to be Jake from Jake and the Neverland Pirates, but I couldnt bring myself to spend $40 on something he would wear once, maybe twice. So Nathan and I started searching online for homemade costume ideas. I came across a blog with a pinata costume. It looked simple to make and was adorable.

It was official, Nathan was going to be a pinata!!! I started making it in September, and I am so glad I did. It took me longer than I had planned. Cutting felt, all the gluing, and figuring everything out took about a month and a half. I worked on it mainly on weekends when hubby was home to keep Nathan away from the hot glue!

We took Nathan to the local trick or treat in the park. His costume was a hit, no pun intended!! We entered him in his age groups costume contest. He took 2nd, which is awesome!!! Overall, I love how everything turned out!!
